Rachael Eatock
Hi, I’m Rachael. Designer, Engineer and Creative problem solver

I’m a designer, engineer, photographer, and maker with a passion for creating meaningful and beautifully crafted work.
My work spans product design engineering, wedding stationary, photography and ceramics.
But…
They all share the same foundation: thoughtful design, craftmanship and human-centred thinking.
Through RGE Design, I bring together creativity, technical thinking, and attention to detail across a range of disciplines. From bespoke wedding stationery and handmade ceramics to photography and product design, I enjoy transforming ideas into tangible experiences that tell a story.
My journey began with a Masters in Product Design Engineering, where I developed a strong foundation in design thinking, problem-solving, and human-centred design.
Studying engineering taught me to look beyond aesthetics and consider how people interact with products, services, and experiences. It encouraged me to ask questions, understand users, and design with purpose.
Over time, that mindset naturally expanded into other creative areas. Whether I’m designing a wedding invitation suite, capturing photographs, or working with clay, I apply the same principles of curiosity, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design.
RGE Design was created as a place to bring all of these interests together—a space where engineering, creativity, and making meet.
No matter the medium, my goal is always the same: to create thoughtful, personal, and well-crafted designs that people can connect with.

I enjoy taking ideas from early-stage concepts through to tangible solutions. My experience includes user research, concept development, CAD modelling, prototyping, testing, and iterative design, applying both analytical and creative thinking throughout the development process.
I am particularly interested in projects where technical performance, usability, and innovation must work together. Whether designing consumer products, medical devices, or high-performance technologies, I value a rigorous design process that is grounded in evidence, informed by user needs, and driven by continuous improvement.
My portfolio showcases a range of projects that demonstrate problem-solving, communication, and the ability to translate complex challenges into practical, well-considered design solutions.

Every wedding has its own character, and stationery plays an important role in setting the tone long before the day itself. From the first invitation through to on-the-day signage and keepsakes, I work with couples to create designs that feel personal, cohesive, and uniquely theirs.
I offer bespoke wedding stationery tailored to each celebration, alongside wedding identity packages that can include custom monograms, colour palettes, typography, and visual elements that carry through every touchpoint of the wedding.
My process begins with understanding your story, style, and vision for the day. Through consultation and concept development, I create a range of design directions before refining your chosen concept into a finished stationery suite ready for print or production.
Whether you’re looking for elegant invitations, modern signage, a custom wedding crest, or a complete visual identity for your celebration, I aim to create stationery that becomes a memorable part of your wedding experience.

I am often found with a camera in my hand. Currently most of my work has been on sport photography, though my passion lies with nature and macro photography. I enjoy the challenge of doing something different, learning about and exploring new areas within photography.
I hope to expand further and better my portrait photography over the next few years.
I am a great lover of nature and often spend my time hiking and exploring it. I find that nature is a great place to go when I need time to myself or to destress.
Most of my free time is spent on a hockey pitch. Either playing, umpiring or occasionally coaching. I currently play in goals for a team in the Scottish National league.
